About the Role
We're seeking a visionary Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team in Hagerstown, MD-HYBRID role. This pivotal role will shape the future of IoT and big data solutions for automotive and heavy-duty industrial equipment. What You'll Do
  • Design and implement scalable, secure microservice architectures for complex IoT systems
  • Leverage your expertise in big data storage and access to create innovative web-based applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust solutions using cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
  • Apply your knowledge of IoT architectures, MQTT, and other messaging systems to solve real-world challenges
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, using Agile methodologies
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software architecture and development
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus, and Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI)
  • Strong background in cloud platforms, SQL and NoSQL databases, and DevOps principles
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, test automation, and Agile development methodologies
What Sets You Apart
  • Expertise in C#, Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with Azure Data Explorer, Log Analytics, and Kusto Query Language
  • Deep understanding of IoT architectures, tools, and messaging systems like MQTT
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and SecOps principles in system design
  • Background in automotive or heavy-duty construction/industrial equipment
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to excel in ambiguous situations
