Data Visualization Specialist

Position Overview:
 iTrust Human Capital Management seeking highly skilled Data Visualization Specialists to join our network for upcoming projects to support  government agencies in transforming complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data visualization, data analysis, and familiarity with the defense or intelligence sectors. This role requires proficiency in visualization tools, data management, and design principles, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze large datasets from various sources, such as sensor data, intelligence reports, and operational data, to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Design and create interactive visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, or custom-built visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with intelligence analysts, data scientists, and military personnel to understand data needs and translate complex analytical results into clear, concise visual formats.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive view, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security in classified environments.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of visualization tools.
  • Develop documentation and best practices for data visualization within the organization.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization, applying innovative solutions to improve existing processes and develop new visualization techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in data visualization, data analysis, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, and Qlik.
  • Proficiency in data management and manipulation tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including UX/UI design, to create intuitive and impactful visualizations.
  • Prior experience or familiarity with defense and intelligence community operations, requirements, and challenges.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in data visualization, particularly those that support modernization and innovative solutions in the intelligence community.
  • Current DoD TOP SECRET Security Clearance and SCI eligibility.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work on-site at government agency locations as required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
